Established in 1973, the London Emergency Services Liaison Panel meets once every three months under the chair of the Metropolitan Police. Its purpose is to ensure a partnership approach between all the relevant agencies in the planning for, and the response to, a major incident of whatever kind. This could be anything from a terrorist attack to a natural disaster such as a severe flood, which may occur within the Greater London area. |
